Jere Skiles
Jere grew up on a dairy farm in Lancaster County, PA. He began hunting at the age of 12 and vividly remembers trekking the woods of Chester County, PA with his father and grandfather in search of whitetail deer. Hunting has been a hobby ever since and Jere takes the opportunity to hunt whenever he can.
Jere attended Indianhead Technical Institute in Wisconsin and Penn State University where he earned his associates in Herd Management. In addition to several years of dairy farming Jere has hunted in 16 different states across a wide range of animals including elk, mule deer, white tail, and various small game.
A few years back Jere travelled to Nebraska for a hunt where he fell in love with the beauty of the country and the thrill of hunting in such an expansive area. During that time he witnessed the effectiveness of the minerals Jake was using that resulted in big bodied deer with lots of mass and good horns. He knew he wanted to be a part of a venture that helped build and manage the deer herd so well.
Jake Stoner
Jake grew up on a sandhills cattle ranch near Valentine, NE. Involved in hunting at a very early age he shot his first whitetail buck when he was 12 years old. After that he was hooked and spent every spare moment shooting or hunting as much as possible. Over the years he has been fortunate enough to take some amazing deer.
Ranching is in his roots as well as his blood. Jake is a fourth generation cattle rancher primarily raising angus cattle on the family ranch. His family does everything they can to maximize the health and production of the cattle. Nutrition is a very important part of raising quality beef and some of the same basic needs transfer over to managing a healthy deer herd.
Jake attended college at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture and has two associates degrees--in Ag Production and Ag Business. In addition Jake took many animal nutrition courses during his time at NCTA. In 2010 he graduated college and returned to the family ranch and took a part time job guiding deer hunts for D&E Outfitters on the side.
To this day Jake works the family ranch, co-manages Boonner Buck, guides hunts, and goes hunting as often as he can.
